DUBOIS – The Penn State DuBois Alumni Society will hold its annual Alumni Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22, in the Hiller Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Three Penn State DuBois Alumni will receive awards.
Stacie Peles will receive the Dave Shaffer Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Peles graduated from Penn State DuBois in May of 2005 with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She is currently an account executive for Motorsports Authentics in North Carolina where she is responsible for $1.2 million in sales revenue.
The Outstanding Alumni Award will be presented to D. Brent Pasquinelli. Graduating from Penn State with a Health and Human Development Degree in 1977, Brent started a Travel Agency in DuBois the following year. Now, 31 years later, his travel company, eTravCo, is the third largest travel network in the country.
Charles Snapp is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. He earned his degree in Accounting at Penn State DuBois in 1963, and worked as a Field Auditor for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue for 30 years. He retired in 1994.
