CLEARFIELD – The second fall preschool programs at the Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library will begin the week of November 2, 2009. The theme is “Farming Fun” and registration begins Monday, October 19, 2009 and will continue until all sessions are full. During the six week session, preschoolers will enjoy stories, crafts, and games that support the theme.
Baby time is a half-hour program designed to introduce to parents and babies 6 months to 2 years of age the rewards of the library and the importance of reading to children at a young age. The class times are Wednesday or Thursday at 10:30 a.m. both days.
Toddler time is a 45-minute program offered for children aged 2 to 3 years of age and story time is an hour long class for the 3, 4 and 5 year olds. Both toddler time and story time incorporate stories, finger plays, puppets, games, crafts, music and more into a program to encourage a love of reading and libraries, promote cognitive and language development, and assist in the life long learning process.
Class times for the toddler group are Wednesday or Thursday at 11:15 A.M. Story times are offered on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. or 1:30 P.M. and Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
