CLEARFIELD – A 28-year-old Houtzdale man who has been accused of furnishing alcohol and then fondling two girls waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
Christopher Lee Reams, 28 of Houtzdale, faces three counts of both corruption of minors and selling/furnishing liquor, malt or brewed beverages to minors and two counts of indecent assault.
His brother, Kenneth James Reams, 29 of Clearfield, had his hearing continued for the same charges.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, both Kenneth and Christopher Reams met their cousin and her two friends at the Dollar General Store in Houtzdale along state Route 53. At approximately, 7:50 p.m. Aug. 15, both offered to take the girls mudding.
Police indicated that all three girls entered the bed of Kenneth Reams’ truck. Christopher Reams entered the passenger seat, as Kenneth Reams drove them all to a wooded area approximately three miles behind Caprio’s Beverages.
Both Kenneth and Christopher Reams offered the girls Keystone Light while en route. All three girls began consuming the alcoholic beer on their way to a wooded location, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Once they arrived, both Kenneth and Christopher Reams exited the cab and walked to truck’s bed area. Police stated that they all gathered around, consumed alcohol and conversed.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., police said a girl who was a friend of the Reams’ cousin received a text message from her father. He told her to return home. She related the information to her friend as well as to both Christopher and Kenneth Reams. But the two Reams’ would not take her home.
Police stated that the Reams’ cousin also talked to her father, who wanted her home “right away.” Both Kenneth and Christopher Reams refused to do so unless the girls revealed their naked breasts to them, according to the affidavit of probable cause. Police stated that the girls refused at first, but then the cousin and her friend – both who needed transportation – lifted their shirts in attempt to get a ride home.
Police stated that Kenneth Reams then fondled and sucked on both of the girls’ breasts. They stated that Christopher Reams fondled both girls’ breasts.
Police stated that both also requested that the girls show their vagina areas. They stated that Kenneth Reams requested that the girls touch his “private area.”
Police stated that the Reams’ cousin received another call from her father, demanding that she return home. They stated that Kenneth Reams then drove them from the scene, heading out of the wooded area. His cousin’s father then met them in the woods and drove the girls the remainder of their way home.
