CLEARFIELD – Final paving work will begin Sept. 24 on the DuBois Street bridge project in the city of DuBois. The daylight paving work may include weekend activity and will last through Sept. 28. Crews will be working to pave DuBois Street from the US Route 219 intersection down DuBois Street and across the new bridge.
The traffic signal at the DuBois Street/US Route 219 intersection will be placed on flashing mode and flaggers may be present in the intersection. Drivers should expect delays that may be lengthy at times. Motorists may wish to use alternate routes. All work on the job is weather dependent.
When paving is complete, the new signal at Parkway Drive will be fully operational and there will be left turn lanes on DuBois Street for Parkway Drive and New Street. Francis J. Palo, Inc. is contractor on this $3.8 million dollar project.
PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution in work zones, be alert for stopped or slowed traffic, and always buckle up. For more on information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT’s Web site.
