UNION TOWNSHIP – A Clearfield man who suffered major injuries was airlifted following an accident on DuBois-Rockton Road on Wednesday.
According to state police in DuBois Ashley Kirk of Clearfield was traveling south on DuBois-Rockton Road when she took her eyes off the road to get a pack of cigarettes out of the middle console. She struck a traffic sign then traveled over an embankment. Her vehicle went end-over-end and came to rest on its wheels in a yard.
Kirk, who was wearing her seat bet., suffered minor injuries. A 2-year-old passenger was properly restrained in a child-safety seat and suffered minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to DRMC for treatment.
