DUBOIS – More information has been released concerning the search for a DuBois man who was eventually found deceased in Treasure Lake.
The Sandy Township Police Department reported that they received a call for a missing swimmer around 5:24 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Based on the initial information, a multi-agency group was summoned, consisting of police, fire, emergency medical services and water rescue groups.
At about 9:45 a.m. a state police helicopter stationed at Pittsburgh joined in the efforts to locate the man. About 10 minutes later the chopper notified ground units that they had located an area of interest in the water. Divers entered the water and found the man under the water near the western shore of Treasure Lake. He was then removed an identified as 22-year-old Jordan Joseph Andrulonis of DuBois.
The investigation currently remains open and at this time is being deemed accidental in nature.
