PIKE TOWNSHIP – A weekend accident on state Route 453 claimed the life of a Curwensville man.
According to state police in Clearfield, Jeffrey Hamilton of Curwensville was traveling south on SR 453 on Sunday afternoon. Police stated that he crossed into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by M. Louise Harmon of Curwensvile. Hamilton’s motorcycle struck Harmon’s car and Hamilton was thrown from the motorcycle.
Police stated in their report that Hamilton died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
Harmon was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. She was transported by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services for treatment.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Curwensville Fire Department, Clearfield EMS and Andy Ross Towing.
