CLEARFIELD – On Aug. 28, Pennsylvania State Police Members, Troop C, conducted a Checkpoint Strike Force Initiative along county roadways, the Clearfield State Police reported.
According to the report, the sobriety roving detail resulted in three driving under the influence arrests, three summary arrests for public drunkenness, 11 traffic citations and 34 written warnings. Police also indicated that one person was taken into custody for a state parole violation.
Police stated that they conducted the initiative in areas that have a high incidence of alcohol-related accidents.
In addition to members of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, the Clearfield County Strikeforce included others from the DuBois City Police Department, Clearfield Borough Police Department, Decatur Township Police Department and the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department.
