PHILIPSBURG – State police in Philipsburg are investigating a burglary that occurred on Aug. 20 in Philipsburg Borough.
According to police someone entered a Hemlock Street address while the residents were away from home. A large amount of cash, jewelry and electronics were removed from the residence. Police said it appeared that the people familiar with the residence and as well as the locations of the items. Some evidence was recovered from the scene that may help locate those responsible.
Police are asking for help from local business owners in this investigation. They are asked to be alert for teenagers attempting to purchase items with large bills that appear new.
The alleged victims in the case are offering a $500 cash reward for people providing information that will lead to a conviction in this case.
