CLEARFIELD – At Tuesday’s regular meeting the Lawrence Township Supervisors said goodbye to fellow Supervisor Fred Redden as his last meeting as a supervisor came to an end.
“Fred, it’s not a whole lot, but we got you fixed up with a certificate you can hang in your office,” said Supervisor Chairman William Lawhead before the supervisors went into executive session.
“I just want to say thank you Fred, and we’ll miss you,” interjected Secretary/Treasurer Barbara Shaffner earlier in the meeting after giving her report.
Redden announced his resignation at a July meeting of the supervisors. Redden was recently appointed the principal at the Clearfield Area Elementary School.
So far 11 people had expressed interest in filling Redden’s role until the next election. One of those candidates is a former supervisor.
