CLEARFIELD – The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, a program of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., is coming to a close. All of this year’s allotment of vouchers for Clearfield County has been distributed.
This year, vouchers to purchase Pennsylvania grown produce were distributed to over 1,750 qualifying seniors in the Clearfield County. Each consumer received four, $5.00 vouchers, (a total of $20 in vouchers), that were redeemable at participating farmers markets throughout the summer and fall.
Seniors who still have SFMNP vouchers may continue to use their vouchers at participating farmers’ market locations through November 30 of this year.
Programs and services of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Mature Resources Foundation, and local and client contributions.
