CLEARFIELD – Area drivers will encounter delays next week, as paving takes place along state Route 879 between Clearfield and Curwensville.
Drivers will encounter flaggers on the roadway and should expect delays of up to twenty minutes. Drivers should allow for extra travel time. Work will begin each day at 6am and last into the evening through daylight hours. PennDOT expects the paving work to continue into the week of Aug. 17.
All work is weather dependent.
This paving work is part of a $4.2 million, countywide resurfacing project. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company is the contractor. PennDOT reminds motorists to move through all work zones with caution, remain alert for slowed or stopped traffic, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
