MORRISDALE – State police in Clearfield reported an arson that occurred on Thursday afternoon along Shimmels Road.
According to police, a state police fire marshal assisted the Morrisdale Fire Chief with the investigation. The investigation revealed that the fire originated within a bedroom closet and was intentionally set by a juvenile with a lighter. The fire was contained to the bedroom but the first floor of the residence sustained smoke and heat damage.
Damage is estimated at around $40,000.
