CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday the Clearfield County Commissioners held their work session at the Clearfield County Fair.
The commissioners heard from Jodi Brennan, coordinator for the county’s solid waste authority.
Brennan informed the board that she had four candidates to fill the spots on the county’s solid waste advisory council. The formation of the council is necessary to review the county’s municipal waste management plan. The plan was enacted in 1991 and updated in 2001. The next time it’s up for updating will be 2011. The committee will provide input as the county prepares to revise its plans.
The last four appointees were: Fran Lias from the City of DuBois; Bill Lawhead representing Lawrence Township; Daryl Lashinsky, who represents a citizens’ group; and Don Henricks from Veolia.
The group, which consists of 10 people will meet soon to begin their work.
