CLEARFIELD – One of the six homes on the American Red Cross House Tour is the home of Daniel and Charlene Ogden of Curwensville. The home was built by local businessman, Fred J. Dyer, who was called one of the “mercantile leaders of Clearfield County.” This Victorian Queen Anne has graced Curwensville since 1888. Original oak hardwood floors throughout the first floor, a Butler’s pantry, gingerbread woodwork, pocket doors, four tile fireplaces and stain glass windows are some of the unique features of the house.
Tickets will be available at the Red Cross office and Sandee’s Gifts until June 24. The tour will begin with a luncheon and prize drawings at the Trinity United Methodist Church before the tour begins at 1 p.m. Stop by or call the Red Cross office for information at 765-5516.
