DUBOIS – Movement continues on the getting funding for the Kiwanis Trail project.
The Sandy Township Supervisors received a letter from the USDA outlining the conditions of the loan they would be eligible to receive.
The total amount for the loan would be $5,818,050 for a 40-year term. The rate of this loan would be 4.625 percent.
The township agreed to send a letter of intent to file before the end-of-the-month deadline. The deadline is due to this money being possible thanks to the stimulus funding, and that funding, according to the supervisors, has its deadline at the end of this month.
