Annual Membership Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to thank all who helped make the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and annual meeting a success. They would especially like to thank Marianne Konior for her leadership in putting this year’s dinner together.
Volunteers needed
The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross still has a couple volunteer slots available for Community Days and the Soap Box Derby. The Community Days booth will be educational in focus and will help children make individual first aid kits. Community Days runs Friday evening, June 12 through Saturday night, June 13. Volunteers will be needed to help in the booth and with set up and tear down. If you are interested in helping with Community Days, please call the office at 371-2750.
The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross is also going to be running a concession booth at the Soap Box Derby on Saturday, June 20th. Volunteers will be needed to cook hot dogs on the grill, fill orders and take money. The rain date for the Soap Box Derby is Sunday, June 21. The Booth will be open from 8 a.m. till races end or sold out. Please call the office at 371-2750 to volunteer for the Soap Box Derby.

Volunteering
The American Red Cross, DuBois Chapter is always looking for people who are interested in using their special gifts and talents to support its mission. You can choose how much or how little you can get involved. Maybe you could help out with a Red Cross event once a year, or would like to be on a committee that meets every other month. Perhaps you are interested in teaching and have three hours every couple of months to volunteer teach a community health and safety class. Maybe you like working with people and could spend a couple of hours a month helping with a blood drive or manning a booth at a Red Cross Event.
If you are looking for a leadership role, consider chairing a committee or submit your name for consideration for a seat on the Chapter Board of Directors. Our Disaster Action team is always looking for individuals willing to get help during a disaster. Training is required for Disaster response so please contact us for more information if this interests you.

Sheetz Coupons:
Sheetz coupon books, which are good for a MTO item and any size fountain drink or self serve coffee, are available in the chapter office. These coupons come in books of 1o and sell for $4 each. Pick up a couple of books to sell to your neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends. Proceeds go to the DuBois chapter.
