BOGGS TOWNSHIP – State police in Clearfield reported that two people were injured in an automobile accident on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police a 29-year-old Philipsburg man was traveling east on state Route 2049 when he lost control of his vehicle due to his speed. He crossed the westbound lane and struck a utility pole with the front of his vehicle.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and his 15-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
The driver was cited for driving too fast for wet road conditions.
Police were assisted by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, BJW Fire Company and Bigler Boyz Towing.
