PENFIELD – Come join members of the Allegheny Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited on June 7 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. as they demonstrate the proper techniques for fly casting and fly fishing.
There will be fly fishing rods and reels made available by the park for visitors to practice their skills. Sunday, June 7 is also one of Pennsylvania’s Fish For Free Days, so visitors will also have the opportunity to try their hand at fly fishing on Parker Lake without the need of a PA fishing license, which is regularly required for those 16 and older.
Visitors can find the casting demonstrations in the field near the entrance to Cabin Road (near the Lou and Helen Adams CCC Museum).
