5:00 p.m. COMMUNITY DAYS BEGINS!!! Food booths sponsored by many local service organizations will begin opening
and remain open throughout the evening. Check out pages 27-29 for a list of organizations and their menus.
Other organizations may also be participating but information was not available at press time.
5:00 p.m. The City of DuBois is offering free swimming on Friday night starting at 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
5:00 p.m. Various information booths with many types of activities will open and stay open throughout the evening.
Corporate sponsors will have displays with lots of free and different activities. Stop by each and every one to
see what’s going on.
5:00 p.m. The First United Methodist Church of DuBois will be located close to the American Legion Stage and will be
opening train rides for children. Stop by and try you hand at “Milking the Cow” or the Noah’s Ark Tossing
Game. Also, anyone interested in signing a card to show their support for the military, please stop by.
5:00 p.m. Closer Walk – Come listen to these local talented men sing Southern Gospel music; located at the American
Legion Stage.
5:00 p.m. Spruce Creek – . One of the areas favorite country bands will be performing for your entertainment. Stop
by the Penelec stage and give them a listen.
5:30 p.m. M & M Magic will be dazzling us with their mind blowing magic and eye poping balloons as they stroll the park.
6:00 p.m. The DuBois Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite you to come help them celebrate!! The D.V.F. D.
is being awarded ISO #1 Rating; they are only one of two volunteer companies in the United States to receive
this rating. Stop by at the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater and show your support.
6:00 p.m. FUNLAND!!! The Surf Simulator, Wacky World Obstacle Course, QB Blitz and the Titanic will open for your

located near the Blue Restrooms. Watch as Kachunga, an American Bushman bare-handedly apprehends a
nine foot three hundred pound alligator.

6:00 p.m. When the city’s fire sirens sound, watch as Bi-Lo Foods presents the Western PA’s Largest Firemen’s Parade it
will begin to roll from the corner of Main and Long to Brady Street, then down Brady and Liberty Blvd,
dispersing at the DuBois Area Middle School parking lot. The parade will last until 8 p.m. so bring a lawn chair to
make yourself comfortable.

10:00 p.m. Giant Firework’s Display presented by the world famous Zambelli’s, the first family of fireworks. The fireworks are

Paula Cherry and will be launched in the City Park area. This show will be even better than last year!
