MORRISDALE – A fire completely destroyed a one-story garage and its contents, causing an estimated $110,000 worth of damage around 7 p.m. Friday night in Morris Township, Clearfield County.
According to the report, Cpl. Thomas E. Josephson, a state police fire marshal, assisted the Morrisdale Fire Department Chiefs and investigated the fire at Emigh Run Road. Their investigation revealed that the fire originated in the northwest quadrant of the detached garage.
In his report, Josephson indicated that the cause was due to fumes from a motorcycle under repair. He said that the fumes were ignited by an electrical source and likely an air compressor.
