CURWENSVILLE – The rains once again have forced the postponement of Curwensville high school baseball and softball games for Monday.
The Curwensville baseball game against West Branch has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at Curwensville starting at 4:15 pm.
Curwensville Athletic Director, Allen Leigey, also announced that Monday’s softball game at Curwensville with Moshannon Valley was postponed. No make-up date for this contest has been set.
Leigey also has announced an updated baseball and softball schedule for both the Golden Tide and Lady Tide.
The Golden Tide baseball team will be home Tuesday against DuBois Central Catholic (DCC) and then will travel to DCC for a Wednesday game. Both contests start at 4:00 pm. Originally the two games were to be part of a doubleheader at Curwensville on Tuesday.
The Tide will be at Brockway on Saturday for a 3:00 pm baseball game against the Rovers in a make-up from the April 22 rain out.
The Lady Tide at West Branch softball battle, that is a make-up from the May 1 rain out, will still be played on Friday, May 15. The game was originally scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm. It will now start at 3 pm.
The Lady Tide remain unbeaten at 11-0, while the Golden Tide have an 8-3 record thus far in 2009.
