CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area School District will lose more than three principals at the end of June, as the trio combines for more than 80 years of experience.
John Law, high school principal, Tim Meckey, middle school principal and Dr. Mark Dymond, principal of the Bradford, Centre and Girard-Goshen elementary schools will resign for retirement purposes.
All resignations will be effective on June 30.
“We’re losing decades of experience,” Superintendent Dr. Richard C. Makin said. “But we wish them the best and happiness.”
Makin said on behalf of the district that they were all thankful for their service and certainly appreciative as well. He also emphasized that they would be difficult to replace.
“We have a big job, and I mean a big job ahead of us in filling these vacancies,” he said.
