WEST DECATUR – A fire destroyed a garage and nearby Old Erie Pike residence, causing an estimated $225, 000 in damages Thursday night in West Decatur. Both structures were destroyed, the Clearfield State Police reported.
Police said that the cause of the fire could not be determined. They noted the investigation didn’t discover anything of suspicious nature.
According to the report, the fire originated in the northeast quadrant of a detached garage. The fire engulfed the 30×40 structure, before it spread to the double-wide residence.
Police said that the garage’s contents included two Harley Davidson motorcycles and three automobiles. All were destroyed as a result of the fire.
