CLEARFIELD – A traffic pattern change will go into effect next week on PennDOT’s bridge replacement job along DuBois Street in the city of DuBois. Re-routing traffic to the temporary bridge is scheduled for March 31, weather permitting. Paving of the temporary road to the temporary bridge is scheduled for March 30 and 31.
With the traffic pattern change, Kohlhepp’s True Value Hardware will be accessible from DuBois Street only. Parkway Drive will be open from Liberty Boulevard to the DuBrook concrete plant and all other businesses along Parkway Drive are accessible from Liberty Boulevard.
Traffic delays can be expected through the construction zone area.
Once the temporary bridge is in operation, work will begin for construction of the new bridge, which is expected to be open to traffic by September. All work on the job is weather dependent. Francis J. Palo, Inc. is contractor on the $3.8 million dollar project.
PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution in work zones, be alert for stopped or slowed traffic, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up. For more on information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT’s Web site.
