Clearfield– Friday night Clearfield received a scare from the visiting DuBois Beavers as with just minutes remaining in the fourth quarter the Bisons lead by the small margin of five points. Athleticism and basketball savvy prevailed as the Bisons were able to come away with an 87-75 victory.
Clearfield jumped out to an early lead with a buzzer beating three by Trey Campman to give Clearfield 15-8 lead at the end of the first period.
Clearfield continued to build their lead in the second quarter and jump out to a 38-27 halftime lead.
Clearfield came out hitting shots left and right and continuing to pull ahead from the Beavers going up 66-51.
The Beavers narrowed the gap in the fourth quarter to five points, but the Bisons were able to persevere and come away with a 12 point victory.
Matt Shiner paced the Bisons with 27 points while Jarrin Campman, Trey Campman and Parker Herrington chipped in with 20,15, and 12 points respectively.
