CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Supervisors took steps to secure funding for Phase II of their sewer project on Tuesday evening.
The supervisors approved applying for $2 million in state H2O funds, which is half the cost of the project. They also approved applying for a Pennvest loan in the amount of $3,855,000 to be used on the project.
Supervisor Chairman Bill Lawhead said the project consists of Hyde, Susquehanna Terrace, parts of Country Club left out of Phase I, some areas of Mill Road and Plymptonville. Lawhead said they hope to bid the project out in the spring and begin in the summer.
