CURWENSVILLE – State police in Clearfield have announced that a suspect is in custody in the State Street Uni-Mart robbery case.
Earlier Monday the state police announced that they are investigating a robbery that occurred at Uni-Mart on State Street in Curwensville Borough early Monday morning.
According to police a white male was checking out at the register at 2:31 a.m. He reportedly placed a plastic bag on the counter and told the employee to put all the money in the bag. Police said he then pointed to a gun in his waistband and said to give him the money or he would kill the employee. The employee put about $100 in cash in the bag and the man fled the scene on foot.
Police state that he was between 16 and 22 years of age. He was about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white and red sneakers.
