MORRISDALE – An vehicle accident Saturday evening on state Route 53 between Hawk Run and Morrisdale interrupted electric service for 150 Penelec customers.
According to Penelec Area Manager John Shimko crews were dispatched at 8:45 p.m. to a car pole accident in Morris Township. Upon arrival at the scene they discovered that the pole was not broken but the cross arm and other equipment on the pole were damaged and would require replacement. Additional crews were brought in to safely complete the work and restore power to the affected customers at 1:05 a.m. Saturday morning.
