HARRISBURG – State Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Houtzdale, said that the PennDOT photo license center in the Clearfield Mall will reduce its Thursday evening hours, beginning in February.
“The worsening economy is forcing this two-hour cutback in hours of operation,” George said. “PennDOT is revising information to reflect the reduction, which will affect office hours for photo licenses but not driver examinations.”
Beginning Feb. 5, the photo license center will close at 6 p.m., but will remain open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays through January, except for Christmas and New Years Day.
Except for the extended hours on Thursdays, the photo center generally is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The driver license center generally is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Both centers are closed on Mondays.
More information on driver and vehicle services is available by calling PennDOT toll free at (1) 800 932-4600 or online.
