CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Council approved a measure to help people parking downtown get a little extra parking time.
The measure is for a courtesy parking pass in lieu of one parking meter violation. This means that when the meter reader comes around and sees that a parked vehicle is in violation of an expired meter, a courtesy parking pass will be issued.
In essence, it gives the owner of the vehicle an extra hour.
Clearfield Borough has been issuing the courtesy parking passes during the holiday season for about 11 years now.
Courtesy parking will run from Nov. 27 through Jan. 1.
