Dear Fellow Voters:
With less than a week to go before the election, I would like to take a minute to endorse Mark B. McCracken who is running for the 5th Congressional District.
When you go out on Election Day, please not only keep in mind all of the good things that Mr. McCracken has accomplished while a Clearfield County Commissioner, but also his experience on the Clearfield Area School Board. Mark has proved to the taxpayers and parents on more than one occasion that he was our voice in the district. He was not a “puppet” for the administrators to pull strings with as they saw fit.
Parents, you will recall that when the administration wanted to bus students from Bradford to Girard-Goshen, Mark was the one who went out on a Saturday morning and actually drove the bus route himself. He reported to the administrators that it was too far and potentially unsafe. He was the one who worked to keep class sizes from growing too large at Clearfield and Centre Elementary Schools. These things neither made him popular with the superintendent nor the administrators, but he wasn’t looking to be “popular.” He was looking to do the job that we elected him to do. He represented the taxpayers and parents of the Clearfield Area School District.
Mark proved over and over that he wasn’t in anyone’s pocket. He was our advocate. I, sincerely, believe that Mark will continue this honest representation of his constituents in Washington! LET’S SEND HIM THERE!
