The Bisons defense would face one of their toughest tests of the season taking on sophomore Lucas Runk, who is averaging over 140 yards a game rushing and has amassed over 990 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. Runk does not act alone though, senior quarterback Derek Forshey has accounted for 700+ yards through the air this season while also adding another 11 scores on the ground. If these two players get rolling early things could get ugly for the Bisons.
Not to be outdone last week, Trey Campman showed he was also capable of carrying the ball taking an end-around for a score and hauling in a touchdown pass, he also recorded 8 tackles on defense. Brandon Sass hauled in a team high 4 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. T. Campman and Sass both have amassed over 300 yards receiving and have 4 touchdowns apiece to pace the Bison receiving squad.
The Bison defense has played terrific football over the past few games thanks to Senior defensive lineman Nick Redden, Robert Faust, and Cruise Kerr. Kerr leads the team with 6.5 sacks. The linebacking core for the Bisons has been coming up huge for the Bisons all year as seniors Scott Nishida and Josh Rippey vie for team highs in tackles with 48 and 45 respectively, both have also chipped in with a sack a piece.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 P.M. at the Clearfield Bison Sports Complex.
Notes: Friday night is homecoming for the Bisons with the presentation happening at halftime….Campman only needs 25 more yards for his 2nd straight 1000 yard passing season and has completed over 60 percent of his passes, and also has accounted for 22 touchdowns giving him 54 for his career….Morgan needs 14 more yards to top 1000 yards rushing for the second time in his career…..Trey Campman has hauled in team high 33 catches giving him 59 for his career in only his junior season….the Bisons have outscored their opponents by over 100 points this season while averaging over 51 points a game over their last 3 contests and are averaging 40 points a game on the year.
