Members of the 1998 team include quarterback Derrick Yohe (West Point graduate and US Army Officer), linebacker Jeremy Irwin (received football scholarship to Temple), running back Kenny Wisor (former Clearfield Area High School All-time leading rusher), running back Jimmy Lewis (4 year starter, also surpassed previous all-time rushing record), lineman Tim Taylor (member of US Army, top 5 ranked USA heavyweight wrestler), wide receiver Brian Kaspick (all American football player at Lycoming College), linebacker Jeremy Adams (state ranked wrestler, wrestler Lycoming College), waterboy Andrew Janocko (quarterback at Pittsburgh University), waterboy Curtis Campman (Defensive Backs coach at Lycoming College), waterboy Jarrin Campman (current Bisons starting quarterback), waterboy Trey Campman (current starting wide receiver for the Bisons).
Friday night isn’t just an honor to these former standout athletes, but also to Head Coach Tim Janocko, Defensive Coordinator Forrest Campman, and Lineman Coach Bob Love – who have all been fixtures of the Clearfield Bison Football program for over 20+ years. Ask any former player, including myself, and they will tell you the profound influence these coaches have had on their lives. I would like to speak on behalf of all former Bison players and thank them for what they have done for us.
Friday’s night game isn’t all about the past though, as the current Bison squad looks to improve to 6-1 and run their win streak to six in their contest against the Penns Valley Rams. The Rams 1-5 record is not indicative of their talent as the Rams have lost 3 games by less than 5 points, including their season opener to undefeated Central by a score of 13-12.
