SNOW SHOE – The Curwensville Little League 9-and-10 All-Stars passed their first District 5 elimination bracket test Thursday evening with a 6-2 win over homestanding Mountain Top.
Jake Terry and Hunter Lancaster combined for a six-hitter.
Terry went four innings, striking out three and walking three, to post the victory.
Lancaster earned the save with two shutout innings. He walked three.
Curwensville\’s top hitters were Jade McDermott with a single and a double, Nate Hall with two singles and Curtis Linsenbigler with a two-run double.
Curwensville (1-1) advances to Saturday\’s 6 p.m. elimination bracket semifinal against Tri-County or Milesburg.
