CLEARFIELD – Veterans, members of the armed forces, members of the community and leaders from our communities came together on Saturday for Armed Forces Awareness Day at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
It was the twentieth such event held in Clearfield, and the fifty-eighth observance of the occasion.
Speakers at the event included Clearfield County Commissioners John Sobel and Mark McCracken, Clearfield County Veterans Affairs Coordinator Domenick Kurtz, state Rep. Camille “Bud” George, the Rev. Doug Turner and Maj. Lonnie Miller.
“It’s very important that we come together to honor our armed forces,” said McCracken.
The event featured a number of vehicles used by the armed forces as well as displays and other events.
