DUBOIS – Volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield County will gather for a drive-by fundraiser Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Shaffer Avenue in front of the DuBois Mall to begin collecting the $50,000 needed for their next project.
The volunteers, wearing red vests, will appeal for donations from motorists waiting in traffic along the busy road, according to HFHCC President John Farr.
The event is organized by members of Church Build 2008, a consortium of more than a dozen DuBois area churches that came together for Church Build 2007, which constructed the most recent DuBois home.
