WEST DECATUR – A West Decatur man was tasered on Thursday following an incident with state police in Clearfield.
According to the report police were called to a Railroad Street address for a report of a domestic disturbance. When police confronted the man he had a rifle pointed at Troopers Robert Straw and Mark McGinnis. He was subdued with a taser and taken into custody. He was placed in Clearfield County Jail for violating probation conditions.
Charges of aggravated asault, persons prohibited from possessing a firearm, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault were filed at Magisterial District Judge Michael Rudella’s office. The man will be arraigned at a later date.
