Harrisburg — The Buster\’s Brewers fast-pitch softball team recently competed in their first ever indoor tournament.
The tournament was played by under a unique set of rules for men\’s play. The games were five innings or one hour, whichever came first. Also the tourney started at 9:30 PM on Friday and ended at 4:00 Saturday morning!
Buster\’s went 3-1 in the five team tourney, tying for the top record – but placing second due to the head-to-head tie-breaker rule.
Buster\’s blasted Yuengling 8-1 in their first action since last August.
Then three pitching duels followed: A 2-0 win over the Diamondbacks, a 3-2 loss to tourney champion Aqua, and a 2-1 victory over perennial power Twin Pines.
Buster\’s local players included coach Brian Barr, Brandon Billotte, Brent Thomas, Todd Schickling, and Steve Terry.
