COALPORT – State police in Clearfield reported that a Coalport man was arrested for aggravated assault following an incident on Monday night.
According to police Dennis Lauver Jr., 29, was attempting to leave a residence on Mill Street with some knives. Two others tried to restrain him and attempted to get the knives from him. Lauver reportedly stabbed the two men, one from Coalport, the other from Duncansville, in the wrists and hands.
Lauver was taken into custody and arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. Police did not indicate whether Lauver was free or incarcerated.
