CLEARFIELD – Two outgoing Clearfield County Commissioners were commended for their service by the county’s solicitor on Thursday.
Kim Kesner thanked Rex Read and Mike Lytle for their service to the county and its residents.
“Rex, you’re to be commended for your service,” said Kesner.
Kesner also applauded Lytle’s 24 years of service to the county. Lytle served for eight years in the Register/Recorder’s Office before serving 16 years as a county commissioner.
“That’s unprecedented,” commented Kesner. “You will be missed. I’m flattered I had the chance to serve you.”
“It’s been a pleasure to serve,” said Lytle.
“It’s been a pleasure,” said Mark McCracken on serving with Lytle and Read.
McCracken won his bid for reelection to the commissioner seat. Read lost while Lytle did not run. The new board of commissioners will consist of McCracken, John Sobel and Joan Robinson-McMillen.
“It has been an honor to serve in this capacity,” said Read. “We have left the county in a very good condition and in very good hands.
