CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police helped a man on Sunday afternoon after he threatened to harm himself and police officers.
According to the report, police responded to a residence on East Market Street for a physiological emergency. A Clearfield man had been making threats to harm himself and police once they arrived at his residence. Officers responded and had to force their way in to the residence.
The man was taken into custody without any injury to himself or any officers. The man was armed with a large military knife and a small razor knife. Police state that the man had hurt himself prior to their arrival.
The man was transported to Clearfield Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Officers were assisted by the Lawrence Township Police Department and Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.
