GINTER – A 67-year-old Ginter man was killed Sunday afternoon when the tree he was cutting down struck him in the head.
State police at Clearfield were called to the scene at about 5 p.m. and report that Paul T. Mayo was cutting down a tree behind his home when the tree hit him. Mayo was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the incident continues.
The Ramey Fire Co. assisted at the scene.
