Curwensville – Representatives from Sunnyside Ethanol were in attendance at the September meeting of Curwensville Borough Council.
The project is currently waiting for financial matters to settle. Jose Cranston, Sunnyside representative, announced that they expect a ground-breaking in the first quarter of 2008.
Cranston also said that 65 of the 70 people hired at the plant will be local people trained in the daily operations at Sunnyside Ethanol.
Sunnyside Ethanol plans to build at the former Howe’s Leather Factory site on Cooper Road behind the Curwensville Area School Complex.
