DUBOIS – The Treasure Lake Property Owner’s Association Board of Directors announced that three directors who faced removal requests would keep their positions at Tuesday night’s meeting.
At last week’s meeting, two e-mails were made public that raised questions about the behavior of two directors. The board of directors also received requests for the removal those directors and one other.
The directors involved in the e-mail issue were Mike Nedzinski and Marti Laudato. The third director, Edward Moran, was the subject of requests for removal due to unrelated reasons that included body language and facial expressions.
This lead to a search of the bylaws to see if any of the three met the requirements for removal. Dick Reherman read the closest matching clause for the situation, covering fraud, dishonesty and/or abuse. Abuse defined as “a gross abuse of authority” according to Reherman.
It was felt that Nedzinski and Laudato were guilty of judgment errors and disciplinary measures will be looked into. However, neither committed any offense that warranted removal. Moran was acquitted of the three allegations against him.
“What I found upsetting is the board was being criticized for not taking action when Reherman had,” said Director Lori Cocoran when the directors commented on the events of the past week. The action described was an e-mail warning Nedzinski and Laudato about their behavior.
Nedzinski apologized that the e-mail was judged newsworthy and to any people who had been offended. Bill Reznor, Moran and Cocoran expressed their views on the heated events.
The general consensus was it only tarnished the reputation of the Treasure Lake community and it benefited no one.
