CLEARFIELD – A Woodland man led state police on a chase early Monday morning.
Clearfield-based state police say that a traffic stop was initiated on the 29-year-old Woodland man following various traffic violations. He failed to stop and that led to the chase.
Police say that the man struck a parked vehicle and that disabled his vehicle. Police say that he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and that he refused to perform a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. He was transported to Clearfield Hospital for blood testing to determine his blood/alcohol content. While at the hospital he refused to submit to blood testing. He was placed in Clearfield County Jail pending arraignment.
State police were assisted by Lawrence Township Police Department as well as an additional trooper.
