CLEARFIELD – Motorists can expect delays along Interstate 80 westbound in Clearfield County as crews enter the last leg of an improvement project.
On Wednesday, the westbound travel lane will be closed from mile marker 138 near the Viaduct Bridge to mile marker 133 at the Kylertown exit. This lane closure will be in effect through Sept. 14. Work this week will be daylight hours only. Nighttime paving will resume Monday 10 and last through that week. Daylight paving may also take place in conjunction with the nighttime paving.
The Pennsylvania state police will be on site to assist with traffic control through the work zone. All work is weather dependent.
The contractor on the $12.3 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc. Work included milling, paving, and guide rail improvements from the Clearfield/120 exit to the Centre County line. PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle-up.
