CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield American Legion Post 6 fall baseball team will open its season by hosting DuBois, Punxsutawney and Brookville in the Labor Day Wood Bat Tournament Saturday and Sunday.
Manager Sid Lansberry\’s club will play Brookville at 11 a.m. and DuBois at 4 p.m. Saturday and Punxsutawney at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Other games pit DuBois against Punxsutawney at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and DuBois against Brookville at 11 a.m. and Brookville against Punxsutawney at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Doubleheaders against those three teams as well as Bellefonte, Altoona, Central Mountain and Moshannon Valley round out the schedule for the team comprised of 14 players in grades nine through 12 at Clearfield Area High School.
The Post 6 coaches are Brian Barr, Chris Peacock and Ed Yeager.
