CLEARFIELD – At the request of the residents of Morris Township, PennDOT District 2 will place a radar-controlled speed display sign along Route 1009 Thursday. The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speed of vehicles traveling on Route 1009 near Sixth street.
The speed display sign uses radar and determines the speed of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the speed display sign. Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of Route 1009.
The Morris Township police will be monitoring the section of Route 1009 where the speed display sign is located.
