KARTHAUS – The third annual Redneck Carnival for the benefit of victims of violent crimes and West Branch Area scholarships will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Fawn’s One Shot Gift Shoppe in Karthaus.
Events include the deer drag’n contest, the Sweet William beauty contest, the hot dog eat’n contest, a karaoke contest and a celebrity dunk tank.
One Clearfield County Commissioner and one corrections officer have agreed to take their turn in the dunk tank. Other public officials and students from West Branch are invited to take their turn at the event — located at the intersection of state Route 879 and the Quehanna Highway.
Other happenings during the carnival will be a Hillbilly Auction, elk patty bingo and several games and raffles.
Food vendors will be on-site.
Prize donations and volunteers are still needed.
